I like/need variety in all aspects of my life, especially when it comes to how I travel.
Whether you’re wanting to fly into a destination to focus on the local area or would rather do a multi stop trip. The good news is I have experience with so many options, making it so I can help you navigate your vacation.
I drive back and forth/ around the united states, not always going the same routes. If you’re wanting to travel via RV, car camp or stay at hotels along the way… I can help you map out the stops, stays and excursions. When building custom itineraries, I do charge a travel planning fee.
I have flown to several states, having layovers in most plus I have flown to Montreal Canada, Cancun Mexico and from Greece with a layover into one airport and flying out of another in London. I shop price, flight times, layovers, whole overall picture before booking so I get what makes most sense; I go over these options with my clients as well.
I have taken the max commuter train in Portland OR, the tipple decker train from the cruise port in Civitavecchia to Rome, Italy. My clients have booked train trips in other countries around the world as well. Amtrak has plenty of routes to choose from as well.
When it comes to cruise options- there are thousands of options! I’ve booked clients on multiple brands and they’ve all loved their experience because I picked based on their preferences. I’ve sailed the Caribbean, visiting Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Grand Turks of Cacaos plus a private island. Early this year I was on the TransAtlantic cruise from Florida to Europe stopping at Gibraltar, Italy then I had an overnight in Rome before hopping on the Mediterranean cruise from Rome with stops in Italy, Turkey with multiple stops in Greece. My next cruise will be to Panama Canal in November! Touring ships while docked, is something I’ve done often with more to come this Fall; I’ll share more when I talk about education, training and certifications.
Let’s shift the topic a little to smaller boats. Ferries are one option and I’ve been on several in Seattle area, the clipper to Victoria Islands BC is on my list. I’ve taken a Ferry to get on a smaller boat to then transfer to a tiny row boat to get into a cave at the Blue Lagoon in Italy. Scuba diving is often done from a charter boat booked thru dive shops. Staying on a livaboard is still on my to list. Ferries are required to get back and forth from Cancun to Isla Mujeres, plus round trips from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel unless you fly.
We can’t forget about shuttles, private transportation, rental cars etc. I can help with these important parts of your package as well. Hop On/Off bus tours are my favorite! I have had clients do one way and round trip road adventures in other counties. Fun fact: AAA offers a world driver’s license although most countries accept ones issued in the states.
On “foot” including wheel chairs, scooters, etc. is an option depending on mobility issues. When you’re planning your trip factor in climbing stairs, hills and hiking, going inside caves, museums and off the beaten paths. If you’re interested in finding places that aren’t tourist funnels, I am happy to help you find options and information! If you need accessible transportation and pathways, I will make sure you’re taken care of.
Many people think/plan their travel with the destination being the main goal, however how you get there, back and around, is more important. Do you have all your pieces connected?
